Our Favourite Kitchen Gadget

Hello

When Anna and I started eating more raw food we used the food processor, the blender and other kitchen gadgets much more often.  I resisted this change for a while - I was proud of being able to cook a huge variety of meals with just a sharp knife and a wok!

However I came to realise that the positive improvements in my health from eating more raw food were worth the change in kitchen habits.  We not only had more energy - we often prepared meals in less time.  Blenders, food processors and juicing machines make it quick to prepare food that is easy to digest and retains maximum nutrients.

The right equipment can make a big difference in the kitchen.  We looked for the most durable, strongest, top quality machines available in New Zealand and ended up becoming suppliers for some items - now available to you on our website.

The one we sell the most, and our personal favourite, is the Tribest Personal Blender. This is a handy little two-cup blender with a powerful motor.  We often use it several times a day, to make smoothies, sauces, salad dressings, dips and spreads.  It also doubles as a grinder to make fresh ground flaxseed, sesame seeds and spices.  The clever design makes it easy to clean and to store leftovers.

South Sea Dressing
Here's a simple salad dressing recipe based on fresh tomato - the sort of thing we can make so easily with our little blender.

I have included details below of an EFT training course taking place in Nelson, later this month.  We highly recommend you learn this simple technique if you have an opportunity.  For those of you who cannot attend the Nelson workshop, learn more by reading Anna's  EFT Article

Anna and I had a very special time away on retreat with our teacher Sonia.  Did you wonder what we were doing?   We spent some time in sitting and walking meditation, but also had many other simple activities - some of them a lot of fun!  Most of the time we were in silence.  We practice mindfulness, paying attention to each moment.  As Sonia says, we "cultivate what is wholesome, and let go of what is unwholesome".  We are still digesting the experience, which has had a profound, positive impact on me.

Be well,
Roger.
